ABOUT ROB

ROB PULSIFER

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist

Rob Pulsifer grew up in both Saratoga Springs and Elizabethtown, NY. His family hails from Elizabethtown, a small town nestled in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York.

Rob’s Aunt Florence bought him his first guitar from the Spiegel catalog when he was 12 years old. He played that acoustic guitar until it simply disintegrated. Then he obtained his first electric guitar, a cheap, used Les Paul copy. He played it constantly, and within a few years, he got his first band experience as the lead guitarist for AVIATOR.

After high school, Rob attended SUNY Adirondack located at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Then, he attended SUNY Albany located in the state’s capital. Rob graduated from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a minor in Business Administration. Throughout his undergrad years, he played for various pick-up engagements, and he filled in for several local bands as a guitar-slinger for hire.

In 1988, Rob headed to West Virginia University to attend law school. While in Morgantown, WV, he played lead guitar for a band whose members included law students, medical students, and others. The band went by several different names, including OUT ON BAIL. He graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1991.

Upon returning home to upstate New York, Rob passed both the New York and Massachusetts bar exams. In 1992, he opened a law practice in Saratoga Springs, NY that continues in operation to this day.

In 1995, his aging Uncle Clem Pulsifer transferred to Rob the unoccupied and deteriorating family home near Elizabethtown, NY. In the spring of 1999, Rob and E’TOWN EXPRESS co-founder, Byron Peregrim, began the long, slow process of gutting and rebuilding the house. The re-birth of the house spawned the birth of E’TOWN EXPRESS in the summer of 1999.

Throughout the early days of E’TOWN EXPRESS, Rob served as lead guitarist and alternate lead singer for the band. Over the years, as too many lead singers passed through the revolving door, the solution to the problem of ever-changing front men became apparent. In 2007, Rob permanently stepped into the role of front man. Eventually, the name of the band was adjusted to ROB PULSIFER and the E’TOWN EXPRESS.

Rob currently maintains homes in both Elizabethtown and Saratoga Springs, NY.
